What is Strength? to be able to fight and tear others down? To beat and abuse those weaker than yourself? To stand up for yourself? ...

It is a very important question that has been misunderstood and misinterpreted. SO... let me tell you about my ideal of Strength

In this world there seems to be several mantra's "evil always wins," "Life sucks," "There is no Hope." well there is a lot of truth to those fallacies, life is rough and for some life spits on them and destroy their lives.

Now as a christian i don't blame God. God has nothing to do with it. It is people that hurt people and they are the ones to blame.

but saying that it lets me open in what is a good ideal of strength.

Strength is not faltering in the face of great and and indisputable moral wrong.

if a person is hurt or killed because they are trying to save some one from being hurt then they are very strong persons.

if a person knows that a person is being abused and stands up for them then they too have shown great strength.

In my life i try to live by this Phrase:

Thou shalt be every where and always the champion of the right and good against injustice and evil.
the 10th commandment of the Code o chivalry.

also by the codes of
1. Protect the Innocent.
2. Defend the weak and innocent.
3. Live a life that is worthy of honor and respect.
4. Respect women
5. Administer justice
6. Destroy Evil in all of it's Monstrous Forms
7. AVENGE THE WRONGED.

now some may say that I'm a hopeless romantic and idealist. a pathetic notion that will soon be swept away in the harsh realities outside of college.

So What. it does not make me a fool, these things i believe may seem childish and antiquated but i believe that there is still hope for this world. and i take comfort in the knowledge that there are millions of people who feel the same way.

What made the firefighters run in to the world trade center. Or a officer risk everything when they are trying to save a hostage. a soldier who believes that there are things still worth fighting for and Dying for. A hopeless pathetic naive set of paltry ideals... No, Courage, Honor, Valor, Bravery. in My life time they are the greatest hero's i have ever had the honor to live on this planet with. and there are Millions of them Men and Women willing to save others, to bring hope.

I hope that someday after i am long gone and i have found my place at the side of my holy father others will take my place and realize that there are things worth fighting for. No i know there will be and they will be the greatest hero's this world has ever seen. no matter how many times they are beaten down they will stand up taller.

My goal in life is to serve and protect. whether i am a police officer a park ranger, a fireman, a lawyer i am not afraid of dying. because i believe that there are things worth fighting and dying for.

and anyone that would cause harm to others to prove their worth or benefit themselves at another persons life then they are cowards in the purest forms.

no one else may understand how i feel about this. But to those that do remember this:

Hope is made by those willing to sacrifice it all for others.

Chivalry is not dead. Hope is not forsaken.

But there will come a time when we will find that there is nothing we can do and we cant save everyone. and we will mourn loss and hardship; but when it comes down to it we must stand up and not fall in to despair. But eventually we will rise up and dust ourselves off and continue. and that is the greatest showing of strength.

I have Hope and there for i believe that i can do great things... it just took me along time to find it.

And i will continue to serve and protect. Until I draw my last breath.
